I'm joined by my good friends, Lenny and his husband Stephen. We discuss all things from Magic to Black Lives Matter, and everything in between! The conversation is between three Magic, and especially Commander, fans. We remember some of our fondest memories that have been built because of our common interests, but before that, our common love for the game.

Welcome to another very special episode of Commander ad Populum. Commander for the people, by the people, for the people.

I'm joined, once again, by Joey Schultz of EDHRECast. This week we discuss all things Raavnica: City of Guilds in the kick-off to the original Ravnica Block. A revolutionary block that paved the way for many of Magic's modern design philosophies. Prepare for a long episode this week! There were too many cards to discuss and far too many topics to cover. We narrowed it down to what we thought were the most important and/or noteworthy.

You can find Joey here:

You can check out Joey's's casts and all the articles he edits/writes on EDHREC.com

Welcome to another very special episode of Commander ad Populum. Commander for the people, by the people, for the people.

There are three community topics this week. First, I take some time to address the current situation that many of the United States based listeners are experiencing. I very sincerely wish that anyone experiencing suppression, racism, fallout from the public unrest and/or any difficulties from the aforementioned find answers and peaceful resolve.

The second community topic aims to encourage people to support their friends/family. Several of my Magic friends have committed to social norms that don't with mine. Because they were taking steps to better themselves, I was happy to support them.

The final section is directly Magic related. What basic lands do you play? Specifically, what additions do you favor the most?

No Set Retrospective this week. I've got some organizing to do, based on some community suggestions before I continue. It'll be another week or so and they'll be back!

If you'd like to give me your thoughts on today's topics, hit me up on Twitter @CadPopCast. You can find me on Facebook, here: Facebook.com/CadPopCast. Both the Twitter and Facebook feeds have threads for each episode of Commander ad Populum. Let me know what you think.

Welcome to another very special episode of Commander ad Populum. Commander for the people, by the people, for the people.

For this week's Community section, I want to know: what's been keeping everyone busy? Are you finding ways to stay engaged with your house, yard, family, neighborhood (where it's safe to do so). I roll that into the Technical Section for the day where I talk a little about the differences between paper and virtual Commander games. For me, the multiplayer politics is quite different!

I conclude with a few community deck-building questions. Mainly, I look at a few cards from my sixty-five land Child of Alara deck. Please chime in with your thoughts on any of my social media channels!

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

Subscribe_with_itunes

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:
Itunes_ss

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Itunes_ss2

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.

Enjoy!
done!
